Garden and pleasure grounds to Grims Dyke, a house constructed in 1870-71. The grounds were laid out in the early 1870s by Frederick Goodall. Features include a sunken formal garden. Further development of the gardens took place during the 1890s and early 1900s. One of the main garden features, the lake, was created by the dramatist WS Gilbert in 1900, who died from drowning in it in 1911.
