The Iron Age multivallate hillfort of Harehope Hill is visible as an earthwork and cropmark on air photographs. The feature has partly been destroyed and is bisected by a post medieval field boundary. The southern half survives as an earthwork and comprises fragmentary remains of two banks and a short section of ditch. The northern section is visible as a cropmark. The remains of three banks with associated outer ditches can be seen. The two outer banks correspond with the extant banks to the south.
