A mid 19c farmhouse built to replace one destroyed by fire. It is traditional in plan, L-shaped with a passage and three rooms along the front elevation and a west entrance with a parlour in the wing. The angle of the `L has been infilled with a dairy and other service rooms on the ground floor, round a small courtyard. When recorded in 1985, a good range of traditional buildings survived, the L-shaped linhay was particularly good. Nearly all except the barn have since been demolished, some of the outer walls only remain, as part of a modern multi-purpose building. The ash house has gone, this was the only one recorded on the Killerton Estate.
