bank, Hinton Ampner

A 160m section of a large break of slope bank which slopes downwards from south-north with a maximum height of approximately 0.6m high. This section of slope forms the eastern portion of a large break of slope bank which extends across the park roughly east - west following thecontour line. Other sections to the west include 157794.
The bank does not appear on the 1839 Tithe mapor subsequent mapping suggesting that the feature map be part of an earlier, perhaps medieval, enclosure or park fence. [SNA62834]
