The cropmark of a large oval-shaped Iron Age enclosure occupies the summit of Broomie Knowe. It measures c.110m from north-west to south-east and at least 130m from north-east to south west (the full distance is unknown as the south-western end of the enclosure is hidden under a copse). It is probably best described as bivallate, although the inner of the two ditches is only clearly visible along the northern side. On the northern side, both ditches are breached by three causeways, the easternmost of which is defended by an out-turned ditch terminal. There are no distinct internal features.
