Wooden scalloped-edge barge-board to eaves. Windows : All wooden casement, small bay in front [south] elevation. Modern windows on ground floor east & north elevations. Doorways : Brick with timber supporting plain tile roof porch with glazed panel door on south elevation. Other features : in keeping, lean-to brick with plain tile roof extensions to north and south elevations. Foundations of a privy to rear of house. Modern square brick wood store with arched roof to west. This cottage formed part of the Kevington Estate and was built by Mr Berens for his gamekeeper. It was the scene of a double murder in 1880 (Waymark 1990).
