Earthwork settlement of which three phases are apparent: Phase I a single palisade; Phase II a slight ditch with revetted upcast bank surmounted by a palisade, and Phase III rectangular shielings. These features are visible as earthworks on air photographs.

Late Iron Age and Roman agricultural settlement and industrial site, pottery kilns and ironstone quarry. A 6th century Saxon inhumation cemetery was also discovered, and entirely excavated. This was followed by a Conversion Period inhumation cemetery (650-800 AD) and nearby settlement.

A multiperiod cropmark complex at Manor Farm. Excavation suggests a Bronze Age round barrow cemetery, a Late Iron Age enclosed settlement and an Early Anglo-Saxon settlement including buildings of Grubenhaus type construction. There is also a possible Roman enclosed settlement.
