Benedictine monastery founded in 1171 and dissolved in 1537. There are descriptions, in SO 74 SE 33-36, of the Priory church, the Post Medieval house which incorporates parts of the priory, the remains of a preaching cross in the grounds, and Medieval fishponds associated with the priory.
