Medieval tile kiln completely excavated at Abbey Farm. It lay in the area between the fishponds and a water channel all to the north east of the Priory site. This kiln mainly produced roof tile and is presumably associated with the Gilbertine priory (TF 60 NE 3).

DENTON HALL

Originally a 14th century tower house with a hall, though the latter is now just visible as large footing stones. The building was extended in 1829 and is now part of a farmhouse. The earthwork remains of a medieval moat and fishponds survive.

Benedictine alien grange of Seez Abbey, founded in 1115, dissolved in 1400, seen as earthworks. Ditches containing Iron Age/Roman pottery and stray finds of human bone have been recovered during gravel extraction. The earthworks consist of an enclosure and probable fishponds.
