Possible Medieval or Early Medieval strip lynchets extend along a north facing slope below White Horse Plantation. Four lynchets are visible, on average 15m apart, three measure on average 300m and one is over 400m long. They extend along the slope between 185m and 200m above OD.

Medieval ridge and furrow identified to the north of Higher Thornham. Field investigations in 1993, by Exeter Archaeological Unit, found the earthworks not very well preserved, there were undulations all over the field but these were obscured by high grass and rushes.
