Fieldwalking surveys by the Car Dyke Research Group in 1972 & 1974 located Bronze Age pottery scatters. The 1975-6 excavations were conducted by the Car Dyke Research Group, and those of 1977-8 by the South Lincolnshire Archaeology Unit.
