A standing stone cross in the churchyard of St Marys Church, Bitterley. The cross is of grey limestone and is of C14 date. It includes a stepped base, socket stone, and shaft with decorated head.

Medieval manorial earthworks, possibly part of Mill Cotton deserted Medieval village. Excavations in 1974 in advance of gravel extraction, showed features including a 14th Century bakehouse, 11th-12th Century ditches and a moat.

EAST RITTON GRANGE

East Ritton was the site of a grange of Newminster Abbey, extant by 1135 and dissolved by 1537. A pele recorded by MacDowall, and no longer extant, may have been in the vicinity of the grange.
