The present flower and shrub garden to the west of Lanhydrock churchyard is shown as a sub-square enclosure on the Tithe map (c.1840); it appears to occupy the site of the medieval monastic buildings (site 91810) and by the late 17th century had become the kitchen garden (Gascoyne, c.1694)...
