TOADSMOOR UPPER MILL

The mill consists of several intact early-mid 19th century industrial buildings and was in use until the 1930s. The buildings are of stone and include a possible 2 storey water powered mill. Another mill at the site may have been demolished though there is a large wheel pit to the north.

Silk Mill. Rubble stone building of 3 bays and 2 storeys, probably of early- to mid-19th century date. The building has a pantile roof with a small chimney at the northwest gable end. A late-19th century house added to south. The mill was covered by creeper at the time of survey.
